market environment has been volatile. LoanDepot increased its market share from 1.3% a year ago to 1.4% in the first quarter, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/s27.q4cdn.com\/834830848\/files\/doc_financials\/2026\/q1\/1Q26-Investor-Presentation.pdf\">investor presentation<\/a> released Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince my return as CEO, I have been laser-focused on our digital transformation as a key enabler of our return to a market-leading position,\u201d Hsieh said. \u201cWe have focused on fully leveraging our unique assets and strategy, including one of the most differentiated customer acquisition and retention business models in the marketplace today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hsieh said that behind the scenes, loanDepot has been employing automation to reduce costs. According to a Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/media.loandepot.com\/news-releases\/press-release-details\/2026\/loanDepot-Announces-First-Quarter-2026-Financial-Results\/default.aspx\">earnings release<\/a>, the company\u2019s productivity initiatives reduced its expenses by 0.2% from the prior quarter.<\/p>\n<p>LoanDepot has also seen the digital migration of the customer continue to accelerate, and it is working to \u201cbe there to meet the customer,\u201d Hsieh said.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s digital team has been introducing technology and AI capabilities to handle repeatable and scalable functions across the origination and servicing life cycles, Hsieh said.<\/p><div id=\"pymnt-919686714\" class=\"pymnt-content pymnt-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-top: 50px;\"><p style=\"text-align:center\">Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p><script async type=\"text\/javascript\" id=\"dianomi_context_script\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dianomi.com\/js\/contextfeed.js\"><\/script> \r\n<div class=\"dianomi_context\" data-dianomi-context-id=\"4329\"><\/div><\/div>\n<p>During the first quarter, loanDepot added more than 100 new loan officers, reimagined and relaunched its wholesale business, and completed a \u201cgame-changing\u201d partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.figure.com\/\">Figure Technology Solutions<\/a>, Hsieh said, adding that these initiatives are delivering promising early results.<\/p>\n<p>Loan Depot announced its launch of a new wholesale lending channel to expand its market presence in a March 9 <a href=\"https:\/\/media.loandepot.com\/news-releases\/press-release-details\/2026\/loanDepot-Expands-Market-Presence-With-New-Wholesale-Lending-Channel\/default.aspx\">press release<\/a>.
