style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNearly 1,600 unicorns globally now hold more than $5 trillion in cumulative value, yet access has been largely reserved for institutions and high-net-worth investors \u2013 leaving the vast majority of individuals on the sidelines of the value creation that happens before a company goes public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The offering is happening via a partnership with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260518589148\/en\/Polymarket-Launches-Prediction-Markets-on-Private-Companies-Powered-by-Nasdaq-Private-Market-Data\">Nasdaq Private Market<\/a>, which provides liquidity and investment infrastructure for the private market, and will act as the resolution data provider for private company markets on Polymarket.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/shaynecoplan\">Shayne Coplan<\/a>, Polymarket\u2019s founder and CEO, said that the partnership would help retail participants access a part of the market<\/a>\u00a0infrastructure with Nasdaq Private Market\u2019s data on primary and secondary market activity, the new offering is designed to let users engage with \u201cverifiable private company events,\u201d such as valuation milestones or the timing of initial public offerings (IPOs), the release added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-05-19\/polymarket-deepens-private-companies-push-with-data-partnership\">report<\/a>\u00a0on the partnership by Bloomberg News points out that Polymarket already offers bets on some events related to private companies. Among them is a contract on what\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/\">OpenAI\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0closing market capitalization will be on its first day as a public company.
